Foreign Minister Golda Meir of Israel told Secretary of State Christian A. Herter today that Israel was satisfied with the American stand in the United Nations on the Adolf Eichmann case, She said she was pleased particularly by the American definition of “adequate reparation” and the American view that the United Nations action closed the case.
Mrs. Meir, who was accompanied to the State Department by Ambassador Avraham Harman, said that an objective review of the Security Council decision would lead to the conclusion that the issue was now terminated. During the meeting, there was also discussion of the Middle East situation.
