Israel’s Premier Golda Meir, arriving here this morning on a special plane provided by the Canadian government is scheduled to attend conferences and private meetings with leaders of major Jewish organizations. She is scheduled to meet tomorrow with Canada’s Prime Minister Pierre Elliot Trudeau and other top government officials. After arriving, Mrs. Meir went directly to a meeting sponsored by the Labor Zionist Organization and was scheduled to appear later in the afternoon and evening at conferences sponsored by the United Jewish Appeal and Israel Bond Organization in Toronto. Interviews with Mrs. Meir were to be televised this afternoon for coast-to coast broadcasts on all Canadian television stations. The Israeli Premier will leave for London in a few days to meet with British government leaders to discuss that country’s attitude toward Israel and the problems of peace in the Middle East.
