Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt left by air today on a 24-day trip to Europe and Israel during which she will inspect welfare and resettlement activities supported by the United Jewish Appeal, including the evacuation of Jews from North African areas. Mrs. Roosevelt will spend nine days in Israel observing the progress made since her first visit in 1952.
