Mrs. Harry Schlein was elected for the eighth consecutive time president of the woment’s auxiliary of Beth Meses Hospital at the twentieth annual meeting held yesterday at the Arion Pythian Temple, Brooklyn. Mrs. Schlein disclosed that the auxiliary had spent $10,642 and rendered service to 22,217 cases during the past year in her original report.
Other officers elected at the meeting, over which Magistrate Jeanette G. Brill presided, included Mrs. John Bailey, Mrs David Gingold, Mrs. fred Opolinsky, Mrs. Henrietta Werblin, Mrs. David Schlein, Mrs. Jacob Meisel, Mrs. Harold Rabinowitz and Mrs. Maxwell Thurm.
Pleading for aid from the community, Mrs. Schlein in her report declared that ” The free work in both the hospital and dispensary has increased considerably during the past year. The diffisullties seem even greater than they were the year before.”
Among the directors and associate directors elected at the meeting are Mrs. B. Gerzog, Mrs. N. L. Goldstein, Mrs. L. Loewe, Mrs. H. Krinsky, Mrs. W. Margolies, Mrs. A. Markel, Mrs. W. Rachlin, Mrs. B. Rifkin, Mrs. A: Saltser. Mrs. A. M. Schwartz, Mrs. M. Thurm, Mrs. M. Blumberg, Mrs./ L. Drexer, Mrs. Mrs. W. Fink, Mrs. H. Fischer Mrs. L. Friedman, Mrs. A. Goldhush, Mrs. M. Goldring, Mrs J. Laitman, Mrs. I. Lipp, Mrs. J. Lobel, Mrs. M. Rockower, Mrs. I. Siris, Mrs. A. H. Wechsler, Mrs. M. Weinsier and Mrs. A. Weintock.
