President Getulio Vargas today decorated Mrs. Vera Weizmann, widow of Israel’s first President, with the Brazilian Cruzeiro da Sol, in the highest grade. This is the first time a Jew has received this decoration in the history of Brazil. Mrs. Weizmann is visiting Brazil in behalf of the Weizmann Institute of Science at Rehovoth.
