The Muncacz police found itself obliged to provide protection for the buildings and property of the Jewish community there because of the pending used between two sections of the Chassidic movement.
The feud between the Chassidim of Belz and those of Muncacz is of long duration and has lately resulted in the decision to legally separate the two sects, establishing two independent autonomous Kehillahs in Munczcz. Both parties, however, claim the property and the institutions of the Kehillah.
Guards have been placed to prevent seizure of the property by either of the parties.
