The Kassel Office of Prosecution announced formation of a special committee to investigate the murder of more than 500 Jews in Slutzk, Byelorussia, on October 24, 1941. Frank Lechthaler and Willy Papenkort, former members of a Nazi police battalion, had been arrested and had admitted participator in the mass murder.
