Israelis between the ages of 10 and 18 took part in a program last Sunday aimed at bringing the message of Chanukah to the Jewish ill and aged in three geriatric centers in Queens, Brooklyn and Long Island. The 50 Israelis were drawn from Jewish schools and youth movements in the New York area. The event was organized by the New York-based Association of Israeli Professionals and held under the patronage of the Israeli Consul-General; Paul Kedar. The youngsters lit the third Chanukah candle and entertained the residents with holiday songs. They were driven to the centers by volunteers from the Association.
