Muslim, Jewish and Christian clerics in Jerusalem joined to try to stop a gay festival. The 10-day gay pride festival is to take place in Jerusalem August 18-28. One of its aims is to force conservatives to confront the reality of gay life. Both of Israel’s chief rabbis joined Wednesday with Muslim and Christian clerics to call on the organizers to stop the festival.
