The Catholic Union for the protection of the Holy Places has forwarded to the Italian Prime Minister and to the Italian Minister for Foreign Affairs the resolution on Palestine and Zionism recently adopted by the Union and submitted by it to the Permanent Mandates Commission of the League of Nations at its last meeting at Geneva.
After reading the resolution, Signor Mussolini instructed the Prefect of the Province of Naples, where the headquarters of the Catholic Union for the Holy Places are situated, to assure the Union that the Government is watching the Catholic interests in Palestine with sympathy and will do everything possible to safeguard them.
The Catholic newspapers in Italy express their gratification at the declaration of the Government.
