Myer Riesman, prominent philanthropist and a leader of the Boston Jewish community, died here at the age of 62. Active in the work of both the Associated Jewish Philanthropies and the Combined Jewish Appeal, Mr. Riesman was a trustee of the former for 21 years and had served on its executive committee. He was vice-president of the Combined Jewish Appeal for three terms and has been treasurer since 1955.
Mr. Riesman was a member of the board of Beth Israel Hospital, where, together with his brother, Joseph Riesman, he established the dental clinic bearing his name. He was also a member of the board of the Joint Distribution Committee.
