Myra Hess, world-famed English Jewish pianist, will be awarded the gold medal of the Royal Philharmonic Society at her concert tomorrow in Albert Hall. In the entire 130-year history of the Royal Philharmonic Society, the medal has only been awarded to 48 people. The last person to receive it was Arturo Tosenini, four years ago.
