A violent explosion of undetermined origin virtually destroyed the engine room of the Eden Cinema here shortly before dawn this morning. The theatre, one of the largest in Jerusalem, is located in the heart of the Jewish section of the city. It is estimated that damages will total nearly $5,000. Police are investigating the blast.
