Ground was broken here yesterday for the new Hebrew University Secondary School being erected by the National Council of Jewish Women as a model high school for Israel. Arthur S. Flemming. U.S. Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare, cabled greetings to the Council on the occasion.
The school, which will provide a “laboratory” for the university’s John Dewey School of Education, is being constructed with funds raised by the Council. Its classrooms and laboratory buildings will accommodate 800 pupils.
