The establishment of a state supported discrimination-free university was recommended today in a report of the Mayor’s Committee on Unity.
The report charged that Jewish, Negro, and Catholic students were discriminated against in New York schools as well as in out of town institutions and suggested that both the state and city undertake investigations of the quota systems applied in New York colleges.
