Jewish communal leaders this morning witnessed the changing of the name of Astor Place to United Hias Service Place, as part of the ceremonies for October which has been proclaimed by Mayor Robert F. Wagner as “United Hias Service Month” during which the Jewish international migration agency will conduct a campaign for funds. Officiating at the ceremony were Hulan Jack, Borough President of Manhattan; Ben Touster, president of United Hias; and Rep. Arthur G. Klein.
