A bill to revise and implement existing legislation barring religious and racial discrimination in public places was introduced in the State legislature yesterday. The bill was prepared in cooperation with a committee of the American Jewish Congress.
The bill would authorize the filing of complaints by victims of racial or religious discrimination with the State Commission Against Discrimination, which would then be authorized to proceed in the same manner it now does in cases of employment bias.
