The First National Congress of the New Zionist Organization called on the Jews of the world today to break with “the traitorous Zionist Organization” and urged the calling of a world-wide Jewish national assembly.

Closing its seven-day conference, the N.Z.O. authorized its executive committee to negotiate with various governments for convocation of an international conference which would discuss the N.Z.O.’s ten-year plan for large-scale Jewish colonization of Palestine.

Delegates who favored rejoining the World Zionist Organization, from which the extremist Zionists broke away in 1933, remained in the background. The congress did not touch on the proposal previously voiced by its leaders for a round-table conference between the two organizations.
