Another Nahal–para-military settlement–was officially established in the Arava region of the Negev today about 20 miles north of Eilat and less than two miles west of the Jordanian border. Named Nahal Katora, it will produce early winter vegetables that thrive in the hot, dry climate, Agriculture Minister Chaim Gvati attended inauguration ceremonies.
