Funeral services were held here today for Nahum Bomze, well-known Yiddish poet who died suddenly Thursday night. Mr. Bomze, author of five volumes, was 46.
Born in Galicia, Poland, Mr. Bomze was caught up in the war and was sent by the Russians to the interior of the Soviet Union. He was repatriated to Poland in 1945, but, after searching unsuccessfully for possible surviving members of his family, Mr. Bomze went to Sweden, then Paris and finally New York, in 1948.
