Nahum Sherman, of Minsk, was murdered in late February, according to Malcolm Hoenlien, executive director of the Greater New York Conference on Soviet Jewry. Sherman, a World War II veteran, was stabbed to death and found by his wife, a physician, when she returned home from work.
