A. B. Polinsky, of Duluth, Minn., and Marvin J. Silherman, of Searsdale, N. Y., have been named general chairman and associate chairman, respectively, of the 1956-57 Combined Campaign for American Reform Judaism.
The campaign is the national fund-raising arm of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations and the Hebrew Union College Jewish Institute of Religion. It will seek to raise $2, 500, 000 in the coming year for the maintenance needs of these institutions. It will be formally inaugurated at a mobilization of the lay and rabbinical leadership of Reform Judaism Oct. 22 in New York.
