After preparations for the task had been under way for two weeks, Cairo today decided to postpone the actual, physical marking of the Israeli-Syrian border, United Nations circles here said today.
Demarcation of the border had been agreed to by both Israel and the United Arab Republic, after the plan had been proposed by UN Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold. The actual work was to be begun tomorrow. However, at the last moment, the UAR Government at Cairo requested a postponement.
