In order to accept the position of director of the department of physical education in the new building of the 92nd St. Young Men’s Hebrew Association, effective September 1, Nat Holman, well-known Jewish athlete, will retire from professional basketball, the Y. M. H. A. Bulletin announced last night.
Announcement of Holman’s appointment to the staff of the “Y” was made by former Supreme Court Justice Joseph M. Proskauer, president of the association, and the former’s decision to retire permanently from the court game was made public at the same time.
