Funeral services were held this afternoon at 4 o’clock for Nathan F. Leopold, Chicago financier, who died last night at the Michael Reese Hospital, where he had been operated on ten days ago by Dr. Solomon Strauss. The services were private interment was at the Rose Hill Cemetery. Until he retired recently, Mr. Leopold had been in the take transportation business since 1876.
Born in Eagle River Michigan, on July 2, 1860, Nathan Leopold came to Chicago with his parents in 1867. He married Florence Foreman in 1892. She died in 1921. In 1927 he married Mrs. Daisy K. Hahn of Los Angeles who. with his three sons, survives him. Mr. Leopold’s life was saddened in 1925 when his son Nathan F. Leopold, Jr., and Richard Loeb. were found guilty of having killed Bobbie Franks and were sentenced to life imprisonment.
