Nathan Wildenstein, eighty-two-year-old authority on French art of the eighteenth century, who died in his home here yesterday, was buried today in the Jewish Cemetery.
He was one of the most prominent men of French art life, and for many years was a leader of dealers and collectors of the Continent. Besides his art activities, he owned one of the biggest racing stables in France.
He leaves a widow and a son, Georges, editor of the Gazette des Beaux Arts, who will continue his father’s business.
Mr. Wildenstein was a generous contributor to Jewish philanthropic activities.
