Over 500 delegates representing 120 chapters of Hapoel Hamizrachi, Zionist Orthodox Labor Party, will convene tomorrow at the 31st annual convention of the party in Greenfield Park, New York. The convention will continue through Monday. The delegates will seek ways and means of strengthening immigration from America to Israel.
The convention will also attempt to outline plans for solidifying support for Israel within the religious communities in the United States. An effective program to combat the resurgence of anti- Zionist propaganda on the part of the American Council for Judaism and other elements will be sought by the delegates. Avraham Harmon, Consul General of Israel, will be the guest speaker.
