A 1953-54 budget of $676,000 was adopted by the board of directors of the National Council of Jewish Women at a meeting here this week-end, it was announced by Mrs. Irving M. Engel, president. Mrs. Engel revealed that the program of the Council’s 245 local sections is at a peak level in the NCJW’s 66-year history with some 800 local projects under way.
