The National Foundation for Jewish Culture announced the award of grants for 1968-69 for 28 scholarly projects of which nine deal with the history of Jewish communities and movements in Jewish life. Rabbi Daniel Jeremy Silver, Foundation president, said 14 of the grants went to graduate students completing their work for doctorates. All 14, he said, plan to teach on the college level. Five of the grants are intended to assist in preparation for publication of research to be completed during the coming year.
