Intense indignation has been aroused in Czechoslovakian circles by the latest attempts to stir up anti-Jewish feelings in one of the few outposts of liberalism and tolerance in Central Europe.
Attempts by Nazi students at the German University of Prague to demonstrate against the noted Jewish jurist, Dr. Hans Kelsen, which resulted in the closing of the university, have evoked a storm of protest in all circles. A German student was arrested recently for a death threat to Dr. Kelsen.
Leaders of the liberal German parties have joined with Czechoslovakians in condemning the disorders, and the German members of the Government have issued a statement denouncing the student rioters.
The Czechoslovakian press had been especially strong in its comments and has called upon the Government to take the strongest measures to prevent repetition of Hitlerist demonstrations on Czechoslovakian soil.
