Nazi anti-Semitic rioting followed a demonstration by the Austrian Hitlerites yesterday in the main streets of Graz, according to reports reaching here today. Windows in Jewish stores and homes were broken and the population of the city was thrown into an uproar. Police cleared the streets of demonstrators only with great difficulty and after arresting a number of Nazis.
Several gas bombs thrown by Nazis exploded without causing damage but added greatly to the panic and confusion which accompanied the rioting.
