Dr. Erich Wagner, a physician under arrest on charges that he aided in inhumane medical “experiments” at the Buchenwald concentration camp during the Nazi regime, attempted to commit suicide in his jail cell, but the effort was frustrated.
The physician’s part in the medical “experiments” at Buchenwald came to light here recently during the trial of Martin Sommer, “the butcher of Buchenwald.” who received a life sentence after being found guilty of gross brutality.
