Reports that the Friends of New Germany were seeking a camp in Northern New Jersey are confimed with the news that the site has been secured and is located here, at McDonald’s Lake, on Intervale Road.
The camp is the haven for weekend parties of Nazi sympathizers who travel from Brooklyn, Newark, New York, Paterson, and other nearby cities.
Little drilling occupies the members. They discuss the German situation, occasionally listen to a speaker, and read Nazi newspapers and leaflets that are spread through the camp.
The leader of the camp declared that its purpose is to promote a more friendly and undertaking relationship with the new German spirit.
Signs of Nazism abound throughout the site. Swastikas are painted on unsuspecting rocks, a Nazi flag flies beneath an American flag, and Nazi literature is spread through the camp.
