Friedrich Eisenegger, Swiss Nazi leader who had been released on bail of 500 francs pending trial in Lausanne on espionage charges, has vanished without a trace, it was reported today.
According to the Basler National Zeitung, incriminating documents in the case have also disappeared. Eisenegger, chief of the Frontists, was arrested in Berne on his return from a trip to Germany. His arrest followed publication in Swiss newspapers of photostatic copies of a letter he had written to Reichsminister of Propaganda Goebbels demanding 300,000 marks for fighting “the Jewish freemasonic influence” and to Germanize non-German districts of Switzerland.
