Nazi Mayor Reelected in German City; Anti-semitic Attacks Made on His Opponent

Karl Schuebel, who was the mayor of Aslen throughout the Nazi regime, was reelected mayor of that city which is situated near Stuttgart in the U.S. Zone. During the campaign anti-Semitic attacks were made on his opponent, Peter Lahnstein, who is partly Jewish.

Kuni Trepel-Eggert, anti-Semitic authoress of the Nazi era, has been fined 1,500 marks following her conviction by a Munich denazification court. The woman’s forte was the writing of anti-Semitic novels.
