An hour after newspapers in Germany were given the news for publication that marriages between Jews and “Aryans” have been prohibited in France, the Nazi Ministry of Propaganda issued an order forbidding all Nazi editors to use the item.
Both, the news item and the order prohibiting its publication were broadcast over the Nazi radio stations. The broadcasts were picked up by the Federal Communications Commission here. The puzzling instructions of the Nazi Ministry of Propaganda came after several forecasts by the Nazis that they planned to introduce the full list of the Nuremberg laws throughout all of France.
