Only Jewish children will be segregated in special public schools when Education Minister Rust’s new decree goes into effect next April, Nationalsczialistische Korrespondenz, official Nazi press syndicate, reveals today in an article on the proclamation made yesterday by Rust.
Other “non-Aryan” children, and especially “non-Aryans” of foreign citizenship, will not be effected by the order, the article states.
“If Jews, like other “non-Aryan” nations, had their own country, and only a few of them resided in Germany, there would be no necessity to isolate their children into separate schools,” the official syndicate declares.
It was disclosed today that only 656 Jewish students have been admitted to German universities for the new term. This is less than one per cent of the entire student body which numbers 91,480 “Aryans,” according to an official census.
In the meantime a number of German communities have enacted additional prohibitions aimed at restricting Jews to a condition simulating the medieval Ghettos.
In Magdeburg, Jews were today prohibited from all public libraries and baths. Kiel has prohibited Jews from all moving picture houses and theaters. In Immendingen the sale of butter to Jews by the city dairies has been banned.
