Demanding “the utmost restraint from taking the law in one’s own hands,” the Schlesische Zeitung, off-
icial organ of the National Socialist Party in Breslau, today reveals the real reason for the sudden flurry of reprovals by high Nazi officials against anti-Jewish acts in Germany.
Obviously referring to Economies Minister Schacht’s efforts to secure loans abroad, the paper in an editorial states: “In this very difficult time for German foreign policy, everything must be avoided which might reflect against Germany.”
