The Voelkischer Beobachter today continued its series of unremitting attacks on Professor Albert Einstein, featuring a cartoon associating the noted scientist with communism. Under the heading, “The psychopath, Einstein,” the paper viciously attacks him for making himself the centre of anti-German agitation in England. It quotes him as allegedly declaring in the London Daily Herald that he does not understand why the world does not declare war on Hitler. Around this alleged quotation, the newspaper builds up a heavy attack on the exile. The paper also expresses anger at the report which it also features, that a hundred non-Jewish students have been organized as a bodyguard for Professor Einstein.
