The Nazi press in Germany is intensifying its anti-Jewish propaganda, seeking to identify Britain with the Jews and to justify establishment of a Jewish “reservation” in the Lublin district of Poland.
The Nazi Party Propaganda Office has sent out to various newspapers within the Reich and abroad an article entitled “The Jews and the Bank of England” in which it is charged that the Jews control the Bank of England, “and thus the interests of the Jews and of England are identical” Another article distributed by the same office seeks to establish that a Jewish “reservation” existed in Lublin in the Middle Ages as precedent for the present project.
The Nazi press also denounces the World Jewish Congress, which recently issued a “White Paper” on anti-Jewish persecution in German territories. The Westdeutscher Beobachte terms the Jewish Congress “nothing but a Jewish department of the institution which still calls itself the League of Nation. The same paper reports that in numerous towns in Bohemia-Moravia Jewish cemeteries and synagogues “disappear” as the Jews emigrate. The Danziger Vorposten reports that the synagogue in Reichbahn “is completely demolished” and only the pillars of the building remain.
