The Congressional committee investigating Nazi activities will reopen private hearings in the Bar Association Building today.
As far as could be ascertained yesterday John W. McCormack, chairman of the committee, and a few other members will be on hand to question local Nazis and Fascists.
Hearings during the balance of the week are the last private sessions prior to resumption of open hearings here July 9. The open hearings are scheduled to be held in the Supreme Court Building. Whether or not a larger auditorium will be secured depends in large measure on the size of crowds, which are expected to be large.
Among those more than likely to be brought before the committee are Royal Scott Gulden, leader of the Order of ’76; George Sylvester Viereck, paid publicist for German enterprise; Ivy Lee, publicist, and members of the Friends of New Germany.
