The German Government is seeking to spread racial and anti-Jewish propaganda throughout Europe, Leonard Montefiore president of the Anglo-Jewish Association, charged yesterday at a meeting of the Board of Deputies of British Jews.

Introducing the report of the Joint Foreign Committee, he said that Nazi propaganda attempts were successful in Rumania and Poland, but not so successful in Holland and Scandinavia. He described the distribution of German trade tracts, which he termed Nazi propaganda.

Referring to Poland, Mr. Montefiore said that when one considered the recent jail sentences imposed on Jews it was impossible to avoid the impression that justice in Poland was far from being even-handed.
