Eight stench bombs thrown by Nazis into a hall crowded by 1,500 persons failed yesterday to break up a speech by Mme. Irenee Harand, founder of the World Organization to Combat Racial Hatred. Panic broke out among the audience, 90 per cent of which was non-Jewish, but it was allayed by arrival of police who made several arrests.
Mme. Harand, who recently toured the United States in the interests of her organization, continued her lecture against anti-Semitism without further disturbance.
