Nazi newspapers today revealed that the Reichs Union of German Trade Associations has issued an order instructing the German Trade Association to sever commercial relations with Jews and not to expel them from the organization.

The order points out that breaking relations with Jews in commerce would “adversely affect German economic interests and is against the wishes of the Reich Government.”

Commenting on the order, Das Schwarze Korps, organ of Fuehrer Hitler’s praetorian guards, declares that economic factors must be taken into consideration with regard to application of racial principles in commerce. The paper qualifies this view, however, by the interpretation that the order is not intended to forbid conduct of commerce in such a way as to lead to the complete elimination of Jews.
