The Jewish proprietress of a department store in Bed Segerberg and her daughter were placed under protective custody after Nazi crowds had besieged and attacked their house, Der Angriff, organ of Propaganda Minister Goebbels, reported today. The department store owners were accused of having contributed too little to the Nazi winter relief fund.
“The Jewish firm gave dirty, torn clothes for the winter relief fund, which the authorities displayed in a prominent show window as an example of Jewish contributions,” Goebbels’ paper reported.
