A group of 15 uniformed Nazis forced their way into the foyer of the Danzig “Jewish Theatre” during an intermission and began attacking the audience. Six Jews were badly beaten up, and the box office clerk, who tried to prevent the Nazis from entering, was seriously injured by being stabbed with a knife.
The attack seemed to have been carefully organized, for it only lasted a few minutes and the hooligans had disappeared by the time the police made an appearance.
