Irrefutable proof that aliens who owe alligiance to Nazi Germany have been herded into the New York National Guard and have been given membership cards bearing false allegations that they have taken out their first United States citizenship papers was promised here yesterday by Congressman Samuel Dickstein of the House Committee investigating subversive propaganda in this country.
A parade of alien German witnesses, who will testify to this effect, will come before the committee’s open hearings here on July 9, Dickstein asserted.
PRESS TO BE ADMITTED
Preparatory to these sessions, to which the public and representatives of the press will be admitted, Congressman Dickstein, McCormack and Taylor, as representatives of their committee, will hold executive meetings here on July 5, 6 and 7.
Dickstein saw indication of attempts to scurry for cover on the part of numerous flagrant anti-Semites in the fact that recently he has received a flood of mail from them, praising him for his “anti-Red activities.”
These letters, the Congressman said, were obviously written in an effort to curry favor with him, in the hope that the writers would be spared scrutiny under the searching beams of the House investigation.
Among these saccharine letters of praise, it was learned, was one from Ralph M. Easley, who is making belated motions at tumbling off the tottering bandwagon of race prejudice.
