Numerous Jewish shop windows were broken by youthful Nazis today in the Brigattenau and Leopoldstadt suburbs. The huge display windows of the Schiffman stores suffered most. Police made many arrests and took precaution to prevent a recurrence of the window-breaking.
Despite the precautions, window-breaking continued in nearly all districts. Nazis mounted on bicycles threw iron bars through windows. Jewish shops are organizing guards. Many additional arrests were made tonight.
