The police department was attacked yesterday by the Nazi press for entrusting the investigation of the attack upon Jewish worshippers on the last day of Rosh Hashanah in a synagogue on Sperlstrasse to a Jewish Police Commissar, Dr. Priester.
The papers charge that Dr. Priester is a member of the Jewish War Veterans Organization. They demand that the investigation be handed over to an Aryan Commissar.
They also insist upon the release of the three Nazis being held for trial in connection with the attack in which five Jews were injured.
While the Nazi press complains against the pro-Jewish bias of the police department, Jews make public their complaints in the daily press that the actions of the police were in the Nazi spirit.
