Nazis gathering for a rally in a downtown plaza here Saturday were pelted by stones and bottles hurled by counter-demonstrators. Seven persons were arrested and three persons were injured when police used billy clubs to subdue the crowd. Only several Nazis managed to get on the stage, according to police. The decision to grant the Nazis a rally permit followed a long debate among City Council members.
